A disaster might be an earthquake – or it might just be it might be a cup of coffee spilled on your server on an otherwise normal day. Regardless of the scenario, there are real and growing pressures on businesses to ensure critical servers and their workloads are highly available and will endure near-zero downtime, no matter what happens, and no matter how their IT departments or skill sets shrink.

Productivity software is commonplace, helping Operations and Finance keep an eye on resource activity and usage. It’s a strategy that makes good business sense, and nowhere more so than in the IT department. Overburdened, Understaffed IT Department? There’s a Solution For That.

Oct 29, 2014

As a matter of fact, during this time new legislation mandating high availability and disaster recovery ramped up, as did consumer-driven demand for technologies and services that require more data storage and management. If you’re in IT, and you feel like you could use a nice long vacation, you’re not alone. Out of necessity, IT departments have been slogging forward with a mix of old and new technologies and low headcounts for years now, so it’s difficult to convince management to cut anyone a break.
